CAD Designer
£25,000 - £32,000 per annum
South Woodham Ferrers
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, 40 hours

My client, an award-winning construction business based in South Woodham Ferrers is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join their team on a permanent basis within their 2D team.



Successful candidates will be highly driven, flexible and be capable of working in a team or independently where required. You will be creative and technically minded, with a strong working knowledge of industry-standard software and a good team player.



Duties:



  • Create high quality and accurate technical 2D drawings independently, including RCP's, sections and elevations.

  • Frequently liaise with the lead Designer and design team for regular progression updates.

  • Carry out measured surveys independently and assist others when required.

  • Support the newer/junior CAD Designers in the team, once trained.

  • Ensure that all drawing issue sheets are kept up to date at all times.

  • Take the necessary actions to ensure that the design elements of the project are coordinated sufficiently with other relevant trades.

  • Balance your own workload and support for others effectively to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Be forthcoming with ideas and communicate them effectively.



The ideal candidate:



  • Proficient CAD (AutoCAD) user is essential with previous experience in a professional practice.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Experience taking measured surveys.

  • Strong team player and influencer.

  • Able to read and evaluate architect's drawings and identify problems and present potential solutions.

  • Competent MS Office skills essential.

  • Able to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Active trouble shooting.

  • Maintain a positive 'can do' attitude.

  • Exhibit passion towards their work and possess a keen eye for detail.

  • Experienced user of Adobe Photoshop.
