Business Support Officer

Our client is based in Glasgow city centre and is currently operating on Hybrid model where there is an opportunity to work from home 2 days per week. They have an opportunity currently for an additional team member to join their busy and professional Administration Support Team.

With offices throughout the UK our client is involved in Health & Safety/Risk Assessment within a number of industries including construction and engineering. This is a pivotal role which reports to the Operations Manager and as part of the team you will be responsible for providing support to all levels of the business along with ensuring consistency and quality throughout all projects.

The key duties are :-

  • Provision of office support services including being the first point of contact for the business

  • Maintenance of office supplies and equipment

  • Facilities

  • Organising travel and accommodation

  • Maintenance of all calendars/diary invites

  • Fielding enquiries to the correct person/department

  • Formatting of accurate documents and reports

  • Creation of monthly invoices and issuing ahead of month end deadline

  • Completion of PQQs/bid support and other ad-hoc relevant reports

  • Document control - setting up projects and job folders, creating the fees for the project

Skills required :-

  • Excellent administration/business support skills

  • Previous experience of working in a professional services office environment

  • Advanced communication skills and highly developed organisational skills

  • An excellent attention to detail and good time management

  • Advanced Microsoft Office applications (especially excel)

  • Must be able to interact and engage with both colleagues and clients

Hours of work are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Salary £20-25k (depending on experience) + benefits
