JOB TITLE: Business Support Administrator


LOCATION: Glastonbury, Somerset


SALARY: £24,000 - £28,000 PA DOE


HOURS: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm with an hour for lunch

THE ROLE: This is a dual role that offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be involved in the business, supporting the MD with day-to-day administration as well as the opportunity to support the HR function of the business in an administrative capacity.


Administrative support to the Managing Director;



  • Provide assistance during presentations/meetings, taking minutes where required.

  • Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing

  • Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate.

  • Meeting and greeting visitors.

  • Organising and maintaining the Managing Director's diary, booking appointments and setting up internal meetings with the wider management team.

  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations with guidance from the Managing Director.

  • Liaising with the team to ensure that all staff have appropriate stationary and ordering when necessary.

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.


HR Administration;



  • Supporting the Managing Director and external HR Consultant with HR matters as they arise.

  • Support the recruitment process; setting up interviews with candidates and arranging follow up calls.

  • Liaising with Managers to set up new staff inductions.

  • Supporting Managers with the probation review process; setting up probation review meetings, providing relevant paperwork and Confirmation in Post letters.

  • Acting as a note taker in employee relations matters; disciplinary, grievance, performance management and attendance management.

  • Update and maintain the company HR system, uploading documentation, processing starters and leavers, monitoring absence and annual leave, actioning changes as requested.

  • Draft and issue letters to leavers and update relevant systems and databases with leaver information including personnel files.

  • Provide HR reports to the Managing Director when required; absence statistics, annual leave balances, starters and leavers.


THE CANDIDATE:



  • Experience of supporting a Senior Manager in an administrative capacity.

  • Experience of diary management.

  • Demonstrable experience of HR Administration

  • Excellent general administration and customer service skills

  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Experience of taking minutes in meetings

  • Experience of collating documentation for a Board.

  • A self-starter, with a tenacious attitude and passion for success, who is highly resourceful and self-sufficient.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
