Job Title: Business Development Manager (Beauty/Food sector)


Location: Ashford (Office based)


Salary: £35k - £40k O.T.E £70k


Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

The company we're recruiting for would like to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager who enjoys hunting new business opportunities, pitching to multi national companies and C suite executives, you'll need to be confident at closing deals in excess of £1million. This company have seen significant growth in their turnover over the past few years but there's still heaps of opportunity to grow with incredible earning potential and uncapped commission. Your key responsibilities as a Business Development Manager:



  • Use industry knowledge and contacts to create new business opportunities within the health and beauty industry

  • Proactively canvas prospective buyers through marketing campaigns, LinkedIn and cold calling to create opportunities that generate sales revenue

  • Build and develop a broad LinkedIn network of target customers and create and share content that creates engagement with their audience

  • Strategically manage the pipeline and workload to ensure sales targets and KPIs are achieved

  • Present pipeline and progress on a weekly basis to your line manager, summarising key opportunities and status updates

  • Prepare and deliver high quality pitches and proposals to demonstrate the capabilities and expertise of the business that result in confirmed sales

  • Work closely with the NPD and Innovation department to create relevant products and concepts that are in line with their target customers trends and business objectives

  • Build in depth knowledge and understanding of the market and customer demand and present this information back to key internal stakeholders

  • Work closely with the Account/Project Management team to hand over confirmed sales and projects

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to increase account revenue and strategically pitch new products


Skills and experience required;



  • Experience as a Business Development Manager

  • Experience within the Food/Beauty sector

  • Strong negotiation and objection handling skills

  • Demonstrable experience generating new business opportunities from scratch
