We have teamed up with a local health care provider who are looking for a Buildings Manager to join their team in South East London.



As the Buildings Manager you will be responsible for all building maintenance and grounds at all sites of this organisation. You will act as the Health and Safety Lead, project manage any building works, manage a team and liaise with external companies to cost up works.



Duties will include:




  • Ensuring sites are maintained to the highest standard

  • To ensure all planned maintenance is carried out in a timely manner

  • Manage any building projects closely, and within timescale and budgets

  • Manage all contracts and ensuring the maintenance of external relationships is upheld

  • To maintain and develop the maintenance helpdesk system, working with helpdesk team

  • Maintain out of hours rotas for building maintenance where required

  • Ensure all health and safety measures are met across sites, including fire safety and hygienic removal / management

  • To ensure First Aiders, Fire Wardens and H&S Representatives are fully trained and accounted for

  • To manage the purchasing of materials and services, looking to partner with the most reverent providers at the best price, while maintaining quality

  • Working with the Facilities team to maintain documents and ensure all records kept for audit purposes

  • Undertake competitive tendering to select companies to carry out building services

  • To work closely with the Head of Estates and site services team to ensure all sites operate effectively

  • To ensure all site safety incidents and risk assessment are logged and actioned where changes are required

  • Ensure that the organisations use of energy and water is controlled and recycling is in place where needed

  • To manage a maintenance team, Facilities Manager and a team of volunteers



For this role you will have the relevant professional qualification - e.g BIFM, NEBOSH, IOSH. You will also hold a HND in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
