Our client is a well-known organisation in Wolverhampton. They have an exciting new opportunity for a Building Surveyor Manager to join the team, this role offers a chance for you to manage your own team and provide valuable services in the building projects. This role is for commercial buildings only.

The Role:

Successful candidates will lead and manage a team of Building Surveyors. Be responsible for ensuring the Team's delivery of planning, preparation, implementation and monitoring of compliance, reactive and planned maintenance and works programmes, together with meeting corporate and client requirements.

Identify resource requirements for work programmes and build on relationships with Group and Divisional colleagues, the Strategic Partner and clients to ensure delivery in accordance with client needs.

.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Building Surveyors

  • Develop, implement, manage and monitor work programmes against identified Service Group Capital and Revenue budgets

  • Monitoring and review of the performance of the contractors and consultants and the development of service delivery initiatives.

  • Prepare quotations for new projects from specifications

  • Site supervision and issuing of variations

  • Overseeing tender procedures and evaluation of tenders.

  • To take technical briefs from client requirements

  • To manage individual contracts and groups of contracts, undertaking regular and planned meetings with clients to develop and monitor work programmes and budgets

  • To coordinate ongoing customer projects.

  • To proactively monitor own workload and prioritise action where required.

Job Requirements / Experience and or Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Hard-working, flexible, adaptable, and able to use own initiative.

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.

  • Technical knowledge of commercial building projects

  • To ensure that all internal/external correspondence and system updates are accurate, clear, concise, and appropriate for the intended audience.

  • Ability to communicate with trades and sub-contractors to ensure timely completion of instructions.

  • Ability to manage multiple jobs whilst maintain a sharp attention to detail.
