Assistant Project Manager

£20,000 - £25,000 per annum


Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm



My client, a well-respected market leader, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their growing business on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, family-run company who can offer progression opportunities.



Duties:



  • Supporting 4 Project Managers daily

  • Providing accurate and timely information to the estimating team for quoting

  • Preparing order templates

  • Ordering of materials under instruction of PM's

  • Updating job files and project progress reports

  • Producing detailed job sheets

  • Preparing templates and writing up measure sheets

  • Keeping all project spreadsheets and documents accurate and up to date

  • Providing computerised drawings and sketches to explain details and requirements to customers, contractors, electricians and joiners

  • Composing letters and emails in a professional manner

  • Organising postage, samples and deliveries on behalf of the Project Managers

  • Preparing of project safety management plans in a timely manner

  • Ensuring that you are requesting the relevant information from the Project Management team

  • Assisting with completion of Risk Assessments and Method Statements for all projects, ready for sign off by the PM

  • Maintaining and servicing relationships with existing customers and suppliers

  • Communicating with customers effectively, ensuring all correspondence is consistent, accurate, professional and timely

  • General project administration



The ideal candidate:



  • Previous work experience in a busy and fast paced office environment

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Experience of working successfully as part of a team

  • Self-motivation to work independently using initiative and autonomy and be proactive in managing their time and organising their workload

  • A professional telephone manner and great communication skills

  • Evidence of excellent attention to detail and accuracy within your work

  • Ability to successfully prioritise a busy workload and work under tight time pressures

  • Ability to admit when mistakes have been made and learn from them to avoid making them in the future


Previous experience with technical drawings is ideal but not essential
