JOB TITLE: Assistant Management Accountant (hybrid working)


LOCATION: Taunton, Somerset (office based with hybrid working 1-2 days from home)


SALARY & BENEFITS: Up to £35K DOE

HOURS: 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

THE ROLE: You will be part of the Finance department which is central to the business. You will play a crucial role within the organisation, primarily focusing on providing financial information and analysis to support decision making, strategic planning, and overall management functions.


DUTIES:



  • Income reconciliations

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts (profit and loss, balance sheet reconciliations; prepayments, accruals, bank accounts, etc.) and posting month-end journals

  • Resolving any queries that may arise from month-end duties

  • Calculation of profit share

  • Variance analysis

  • Accounts commentary

  • Support the preparation of board pack, including commentary

  • Assistance with year-end procedures and audit, including preparation of reconciliation schedules, compiling any audit evidence required and assisting with any other ad-hoc audit requests

  • Other ad-hoc duties to support the wider Finance Team


THE CANDIDATE:



  • Gained, or be working towards an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or be qualified by experience.

  • Great communication skills

  • Self-organisation and prioritisation

  • IT Literate with a good working knowledge of Excel

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability

  • Excellent attention to detail
