We are recruiting for ideally a qualified Assistant Management Accountant however my client will consider part qualified to work for a family business based in Coalville, you will be part of a small team reporting into the Finance Director where you will be asked to support your colleagues in there absence, as the Management Accountant you will work The standard office hours are 37.25 hour per week, 8.45am till 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am to 5.00pm Fridays although the client can offer flexible working hours to allow for a work life balance


As the Assistant Management Accountant your duties are listed below



  1. To lead the preparation of Management Accounts

  2. To manage and develop financial controls and systems

  3. To be accountable for internal controls

  4. To produce and control an accurate costing system.

  5. To manage the finance aspects of the payroll

  6. To keep policies, procedures and processes up to date

  7. To manage and report cash flows

  8. To assist in the preparation, review and update of Financial Plans and Budgets

  9. To co-ordinate budget management function with the Group Financial Director

  10. Oversee treasury management and loan administration

  11. Lead the preparation of standard financial reports to the Board and Executive

  12. Provide leadership and development of the finance team

  13. Monitor overall performance of finance resources

  14. To inspire and influence teams to deliver against organisational strategies and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).


To be successful in the role of Assistant Management Accountant we are looking for the following attributes


Significant knowledge of accounting rules and regulations


Experience with accounting, financial management and/or financial planning systems interacting with Microsoft Excel or equivalent Demonstrates high levels of communication skills


Demonstrates ability to manage, supervise, organise workload and motivate team members, including proactively measuring their effective performance


Demonstrates ability to respond positively to change, across teams and management to build strong relationships at all levels


This role is available immediately and manage implementation


Demonstrates a proven ability to work collaboratively
