Job Title: Assessments Officer

Salary: Up to £24,400

Hours: Monday - Friday

Location: Guildford

Office Angels are proud to be working with an established client in the education sector who are recruiting for an Assessments Officer based in Guildford.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, external visitors, colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders and ensure they are dealt with in a professional manner

  • Actively look for ways to improve service and implement if appropriate or bring proposals to the attention of others

  • Monitor e-mail and telephone for messages and respond, in a professional and timely manner to requests from staff and students

  • Accurately enter data on the system, produce, collate and distribute reports within agreed timescales. File and retrieve records, photocopy and undertake other general administration duties.

  • Provide accurate and consistent information to clients in relation to assessment procedures and assist in the organisation and administration of course assessment and examination programmes; this will include planning room allocations and notifications to students

  • Plan the requirements for relevant examinations, allocate and notify invigilators. On examination days ensure invigilators are properly briefed and deal with any issues that may arise. Prepare payroll information for authorisation in accordance with the Financial Regulations

  • Accurately process multiple choice question examination sheets by agreed deadlines

  • Ensure that appropriate facilities for assessments and examinations are in place in accordance with Learning Support Agreements for students

  • Provide relief cover for other members of the wider operational services team and be flexible and co-operative within the needs of the post

Professional skills, Experience and Attributes Required:

  • Able to demonstrate good customer service experience

  • Able to demonstrate high levels accuracy in literacy and numeracy

  • Data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and speed

  • Good working knowledge of using internet and Microsoft Office software

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an academic or legal environment and experience of working with/supporting students with Learning Support requirements is desirable
