Administrator (Purchasing, Transport & H&S)

Administrator for H & S and Transport & Purchase Co-ordinator.


Normal hours; Monday to Friday 8 - 5


Salary £18,000 - £20,000


Our client an engineering company are looking for an Administrator to support the Office Manager with purchasing, H&S and Transport administration. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of the business.


You will need to have strong administration skills, be proactive, organised and hard working with an excellent attention to detail.


The key responsibilities will include:


H & S / Transport Administration



  • Typing of Risk Assessments and other H & S documents

  • Organising, recording and analysing reports and audits

  • Producing various reports using our Customer Relations Management System (Microsoft Navision)

  • Maintaining filing systems and updating appropriate records when required

  • General administration and updating documents

  • Reception & phone cover to aid with lunch break cover within the customer service office, this includes chasing customer orders, booking transport booking requests.

  • Aid Management with ensuring compliance within all departments

  • Handover of duties when on annual leave


Purchasing



  • Producing purchase orders with suppliers (internally and externally) and ensuring that documentation is in order, with terms and conditions being clear.


Initially not for Primary Critical Parts (Hardness Indenters / Test Blocks / Thermocouples / Calibrations of Equipment).



  • Obtaining quotations and acting on them under guidance of management.

  • Ensuring all purchasing processes are followed (Cat 1's)

  • Matching up orders with delivery notes to send to H/O for payment, promptly

  • Chasing outstanding purchase orders

  • Checking over all supplier invoices and authorising for payment

  • Monthly stock check of PPE cupboard / Stationary cupboard and ordering accordingly to maintain stock levels


Skill Requirements



  • Strong provern Administration background

  • Organisation skills

  • Computer literate

  • Excellent communication skills
