Our client has a well-established and thriving sustainable waste management business based in Musselburgh and due to expansion, they are looking for an Office Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis.


The hours of work at 9am-5.30pm - Monday to Friday and the salary for this role is £18-22,000 dependent on experience.


As you will be required to drive a company vehicle for this role it is essential you have a full driving licence with less than 6 points.


You will work within the transport department and report directly to the transport manager, the ideal candidate will have either previous experience in a similar role or have previous within the waste and recycling sector.


Key Responsibilities: -



  • Answering incoming calls promptly and routed in a professional manner.

  • To ensure the efficient operation of the weighbridge and administration system whilst keeping accurate records.

  • Develop and expand waste management services to customers.

  • Upload, monitor, and track job/client files.

  • Liaise and work closely with other departments.

  • Commit to on-going training and development.

  • Ensure client deadlines are met.

  • High accuracy data input


Skills:-



  • Previous experience of working within a similar role

  • Knowledge of the Lothians and Edinburgh area

  • Knowledge of waste legislation and environmental management (desirable)

  • Customer service

  • Proficient in all Microsoft office packages including Excel

  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude

  • Flexible with unsociable hours on occasions
