Job Title: Administrator


Location: Bridgwater, Somerset


Salary: £19,000 - £20,000 PA DOE


Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm (1 hour lunch break)

The role: Our client is looking for a well organised, reliable and methodical Administrator to join their down to earth team. The key purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the day to day operations of the department. This is certainly one of the busiest departments however they still have time to have fun and laugh!


You will need to have excellent customer care skills with a professional and polite telephone manner. This role is a mixture of administration, customer service and accounts.


Duties will include:


Customer Service/Administration:



  • Taking customer enquiries via phone

  • Entering email submissions for orders

  • Input orders onto the in house system and ensure customer records are accurate and updated

  • Preparing and emailing out quotes

  • Booking waste into the disposal sites

  • Stock control of products - produce daily list for the office wall

  • Resolving invoice queries relating to price / copy tickets etc

  • Liaising with transport operations

  • Invoicing

  • Non-conforming queries

  • Taking card payments


Accounts - Purchase Ledger



  • Cross reference supplier invoices with Purchase Order spreadsheet and approve with the relevant manager

  • Code and input invoices /credits onto Sage ensuring correct nominal codes are used

  • File in an orderly system

  • Reconcile statements

  • Allocate direct debits

  • Monthly payment run and email remittances


You must have strong IT skills with knowledge of all Microsoft Packages - including Excel, knowledge of SAGE would be highly desirable however not essential. As a number of the duties in this role involve data entry you must have a keen eye for detail and accuracy. You will also need to be a great communicator with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
