My client is a small but growing construction company based on the outskirts of Chelmsford, who is looking for an enthusiastic and eager individual to join their team.

Supporting various departments and managers with key administrative tasks, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Assisting with incoming calls, correspondence, visitors and deliveries in a timely and professional manner

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post

  • Assisting with the management of company electronic filing systems, including copying, filing and scanning.

  • Compilation of operational site packs and documents, management of weekly site returns, ensuring sites are sufficiently resourced for their duration.

  • Assisting in the management of the process of handover information to include O&M manuals, guarantees and certificates.

  • Maintaining stock levels for office, stationery, and kitchen consumables.

  • Maintaining all office equipment, being point of contact for reporting meter readings, faults and issues.

  • Assisting with client documentation, uploading and downloading site documents, using various document control systems, e.g. 4P, Aconex

  • Assisting in the procurement of construction materials, services and plant using the in-house procurement system, of which training will be given.

  • Supporting fleet management with all company vehicles and plant where required.

The successful candidate:

  • You will need to be well organised, ambitious and keen to learn, construction experience although beneficial is not essential; as well as:

  • A good team player who is able to manage their time effectively.

  • Have an excellent telephone manner and attention to detail.

  • PC literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • This role would suit an adaptable, all-rounder with a 'can do attitude' who will muck in when required. This is a role you can make your own, and should you wish, there is potential to develop and progress within the company.
