Office Angels are currently recruiting for an experienced Admin Team Leader, to join our client who are an educational facility, on a temporary contract basis until July 2022. This is an amazing opportunity to join a friendly and close-knit team who operate in the Student Services department.

This is a fantastic opportunity to supervise and support a general admin team on a long-term, temporary basis. This role could be extended past July 2022.

This role is generally based in the Sunderland office, however some weekly travel between sites may be required.

  • Salary: £23,143

  • This is an urgent recruit, however a notice period can be accepted for the right candidate

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM

  • Temporary contract to start ASAP until January 2022

  • An Enhanced DBS will be required for this role

  • This role is NOT term time only, so you will be required to work throughout half term periods, however you will accrue a holiday entitlement of 28 days

The role:

Oversee and line manage the front of house and student financial services team, ensuring that both student, staff and visitor needs are met and that all work is carried out in accordance with agreed administrative procedures and quality standards.

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Work as part of the wider Student Services Team to provide support across the service as appropriate.

  • Lead a team that delivers a responsive, high quality support service to both internal and external clients to meet agreed service standards.

  • Lead a team to contribute to the development of front of house and administrative processes, systems and procedures, in order to ensure that a high quality administrative support service is provided to students and staff.

  • Planning, direction and co-ordination the work of the front of house teams to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient operation of all aspects of receptions, including internal/external mail, management of student related records and maintenance of visitor management system.

  • Responsible for team training and induction of new staff and will be required to contribute to the development of new administration systems.

  • Be in attendance during enrolment events to ensure the events run smoothly and to be available to resolve any administrative issues or queries that may arise.

  • Ensure the safe, smooth and efficient operation of all aspects of student financial support including Bursaries, Free College Meals, Travel Scheme, Child Care, Care to Learn, Advanced Learner Loans and funding.

  • Be involved in advice surgeries which support students in applying to any support funds.

  • Undertaking all operational tasks to ensure student finance is administered in a timely and effective manner, as appropriate.

  • Travel to other locations to attend meetings and meet with the teams when required.

  • To understand and adhere to college Health and Safety policies and guidelines ensuring compliance with statutory legislation.
