Office Angels have an exciting opportunity for a payroll administrator to join our client in Edinburgh City Centre. This is a temporary role which is starting ASAP, initially for the whole of January and possibly February. Paying £10.00 an hour. Working hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Duties and Tasks:

  • Checking people's hours

  • Processing the monthly payments on time

  • Working out tax and national insurance deductions

  • Setting up new members of staff on the payroll system

  • Calculating overtime and processing this

  • Issuing tax forms (P45s for example)

  • Managing special situations like maternity or sickness pay

Skills and Experience:

  • You must possess payroll experience

  • Knowledge of STAR payroll is desirable

  • Good IT skills

  • Good communications skills

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Good team-playing skills

  • Clear and logical thinking

  • Good organisational skills and an ability to work to deadlines

  • A respect for confidentiality
