Office Angels are recruiting for an experienced, hands-on Office Manager to join our client; a well-established company whose success has seen them continue to grow year on year! This is an absolutely amazing opportunity and a fantastic time to join the business!

Based in Durham, the Office Manager will support the senior management team, alongside running the office and looking after a small team of admin staff who are based between the Durham office as well as two other locations in the UK. (Very limited but some travel may be required between sites, on an as and when basis).

This is a permanent, full time position. Working hours; Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM, however our client can be flexible! Salary in the region of £25K.

The Role

The Office Manger is responsible for supporting the senior management team, keeping the office running smoothly and overseeing administrative staff and support function.

For this role it is beneficial (not essential) to be technically minded and ideally to have worked with technical documentation.


  • To bring structure and process to the business, whilst looking after a team of administrators, nationally

  • Ensuring the running of the office on a daily basis

  • Maintaining employee records, holidays, absences, and personal time.

  • Maintaining employees training records and taking a pro-active approach to booking in company training within correct time frames

  • Ensuring company, certification and documentation compliance

  • Managing and maintaining all company and staff Health & Safety policies in line with H&S standards

  • Dealing with sub-contractors on a regular basis

  • Ensuring machinery and plant certifications are kept compliant and up to date

  • Book in company wide training

  • Ensuring company machinery and tools are calibrated and tested as per legislation

  • Integrated management system experience would be of benefit

  • Assist with auditing twice yearly

To be considered for this role you will need;

  • Strong Excel skills; ability to collate and analyse data

  • MS Office experience

  • Have some Skype and/or Microsoft teams experience

  • Be Proactive, think ahead, recognise room for improvement

  • To work well with senior management team and at all levels within the company

  • Be organised and self-motivated
