Hire & Goods in Assistant
£18k-£20k per annum

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Duties:



  • To take responsibility for the running of all aspects of the hire & goods in departments, ensuring all hires go out to the correct address, on the correct day & time, with the correct equipment and paperwork.

  • Help to organise the driver's day, ensuring their workload has been prioritised and they are out by 9:00am - 9:30am daily.

  • To phone customers to arrange the collection of their hires, ensuring all of their details are correct.

  • Making sure all paperwork is filed correctly, once programming information has been logged.

  • When off hiring, ensuring all money for the hire is double checked, this will include checking dates and delivery charges.

  • Testing and cleaning all hire equipment and reporting any losses or damages.

  • Taking responsibility of all equipment that goes out, ensuring everything is correct, the paperwork is complete, the equipment is clean, and the driver has been briefed.

  • To ensure hires which are being delivered by courier are double checked by a second member of staff and then relevant paperwork is completed.

  • Ensuring all hires are correctly picked and boxed, and all hire paperwork is filed correctly.

  • Ensuring that all invoicing is correct, (dates, amounts and delivery charges).

  • Log all damaged, lost and faulty equipment in the correct manner with the correct paperwork.

  • Ensuring all faulty equipment is exchanged in the designated time allocated.

  • Ensuring that all stock is logged onto the system and put in the correct place.

  • To phone suppliers if stock is missing.

  • Making sure sales orders go out on the correct dates and the order is complete.


Skills & Experience:



  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Good eye for detail is essential

  • Flexible, committed and punctual

  • Ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team

  • Organisation skills are essential

  • Ability to work under pressure
