Role: Full time permanent Administrator
Salary: up to £25,000
Location: Cambridge city centre

The role provides administrative support to the Manager in the execution of deliverables.

The post holder will support the Research Study and Recruitment Facilitators in all aspects of study feasibility, set up, approvals and ongoing research management for all studies.

Duties and responsibilities:
Outlined here are the tasks that will generally be the responsibility of the Study Administrator, but they may be delegated to other personnel where appropriate:
* Site-level activities:
o Contribute to the set-up and initiation of study sites for recruitment
o Implement logistical aspects of the study including the coordination, tracking and supply of equipment to study sites
o Track additional study site-related information as required on the study master tracker
o Coordinate activities associated with site start-up and management including tracking of progress including tracking of budget and contract processes
* Respond to, and track, site and participant queries
* Assist in the processing and distribution of essential documents to the trial master file (TMF) and the maintenance of the TMF including set-up and maintenance of the investigator site file
* Participate in, and support, study team meetings where relevant

General responsibilities:
* Maintain and promote the reputation as an ethical and expert company
* Maintain the confidentiality of study participant, client, and other company, information
* Maintain excellent professional relationships with all external parties in contact with, including clients, suppliers, vendors, consultants and investigators and their staff
* Maintain awareness of the business of the company and all ongoing studies
* Be organised in the planning of personal workload
* Be conversant and compliant with standard operating procedures and policies relevant to the role
* Ensure that personal development is maintained through continuous training assessment and maintain technical expertise as appropriate

Qualifications and requirements:
The Administrator will have the minimum qualifications of either:
* A bachelor's degree (BSc, BA or RN equivalent) in a science-related field; or
* Equivalent experience or qualifications in an administrative environment

Other essential requirements:
* Proficiencies in MS Office Suite experience - Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel
* Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with difficult or pressured situations and to work on a number of projects simultaneously

Preferred requirements:
* Knowledge of the regulatory environment for conducting research studies
* Ability to work competently, manage his/her own workload and time efficiently to tight deadlines, and to troubleshoot problems without continuous supervision
* Detail-oriented and highly organised with the ability to ensure accuracy in all areas of work
