The Role - Accounts Supervisor
Salary - £28-35k - depending on experience.
Location - Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
Hours - 37.5 hours per week

Office Angels are looking for an Accounts Supervisor to join one of our valued clients. The role has come about due to promotion, and we are delighted to be adding yet another member to this close-knit and friendly finance team.
Based out of my client's modern headquarters in North Lanarkshire you will carry out bookkeeping duties and oversee the day-to-day workings of the business support team.


Due to location you will need your own means of transport.


To be considered for this role you will need to have both Bookkeeping and Management/Team Leader experience.


The ideal candidate will have experience within the construction industry but are open to speaking to candidates who can demonstrate many years of bookkeeping experience from other sectors.

How your day might look -


Finance



* Sales and Purchase Ledger
* General bookkeeping using Sage 50 Accounts
* Payroll
* Management Reporting and analysis including P & L
* Bank Reconciliations
* Month/Year end reconciliations
* Producing invoices and payment schedules
* Managing accounting software, producing invoice reminders and chasing overdue payments
* Processing statutory returns in VAT Returns and C.I.S Returns in line with HMRC timescales


Supervisory



* Supervise administrative staff and provide guidance and support.
* Delegate tasks to administrative staff.
* Maintain office supplies and equipment inventory.
* Overseeing facilities management of the office building.
* Assisting with human resources tasks, such as recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations.


Skills and Experience



* Sage 50 accounts or another finance software
* Sage Payroll (desirable)
* Finance experience within the construction industry (desirable)
* Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
* Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Confident ability to lead and manage others.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* High level of discretion and confidentiality
* Proactive in managing pressure and deadlines.
