8.30-5pm Monday - Friday

Report to: Finance & HR Director

Are you looking for a role with prospects, are you willing to learn and develop your skills within a busy Accounts based role?


Main Objective:


To support the Finance Director by performing clerical tasks, including processing and recording transactions, preparing reports, preparing accounts to trial balance, filing, and other duties, as needed.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Posting daily transactions from bank statements

  • Weekly bank reconciliation

  • Weekly supplier payments

  • Sales & Purchase ledger reconciliation

  • Weekly Sales & Orders report

  • Posting purchase ledger invoices

  • Producing monthly journals

  • Produce accounts to trial balance

  • General office duties


Other Duties & Responsibilities:


Provide cover and assistance for the Finance & HR Director, to include:



  • Production of Management Accounts

  • Monthly Payroll

  • VAT Returns

  • Holiday & Sickness records

  • Undertake any duties that are reasonable and within your ability as requested by the management


Preferred Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:


The successful candidate will be:



  • Highly organised and capable of managing a varied workload

  • An excellent communicator and team player

  • A conscientious person with the ability to prioritise workload

  • A logical thinker

  • A confident and experienced user of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Ideally studying towards AAT/CIMA but not essential
