Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Lympne, 1-2 days WFH once you have completed your training

Salary: £23k - £24k

Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours a week

We're really excited to be recruiting for this successful business in their search for an Accounts Assistant. Within this role you'll be responsible for the processing of purchase ledger invoices for a small busy finance department to agreed deadlines with appropriate resolution of issues.

Your key responsibilities as an Accounts Assistant would be:

  • High volume inputting of purchase invoices onto an in-house ERP system and matching with corresponding goods received notes (GRN).

  • Raising and resolving invoice queries such as delivery quantity or pricing queries.

  • Liaising with the purchasing department on a regular basis for resolution of queries.

  • Reconciling supplier statements (monthly).

  • Processing payment runs for allocated suppliers.

  • Processing credit notes.

  • Sending emails to suppliers to chase for credit notes based on information given by returns department.

  • Completing new supplier account forms and setting up new accounts in Sage.

  • Setting up and processing proforma payments.

  • Answering the telephone and dealing with supplier queries.

  • Filing invoices and credits in an organised manner.

  • Processing customer BACS refund requests.

  • Providing cover for Sales Ledger and taking telephone credit card payments.

We'd love to speak to candidates with the following skills:

  • Experience in an accounts payable role an advantage.

  • Experience in Sage an advantage, but not essential.

  • Study support (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) will be available.
