£20k-£25k per annum
Chelmsford, Essex
Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm



*MUST be AAT Level 2 qualified to be considered for this role.


*MUST drive due to the location of the business



My client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their business on a permanent basis to help with the production of accounts to trial balance due to expanding rapidly.



The job will involve the following duties:




  • Posting of Sales and Purchase Invoices onto Xero

  • Posting of customer receipts, supplier payments, other payments and transfers between accounts

  • Issuing monthly sales invoices to clients

  • Completing a bank reconciliation of all bank accounts daily

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts

  • Posting employee and associates monthly expense summaries on Webexpenses

  • Importing expenses from Webexpenses onto Xero

  • Preparing monthly payroll using Payroll Manager

  • Preparing quarterly VAT return and perform VAT routine on Xero

  • Assisting with the preparation of annual payroll return

  • Assisting with the preparation of annual P11D's

  • Preparing spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel

  • General administration duties

  • Assisting Office Manager with travel bookings for staff



Candidate must have the following qualifications:



  • AAT Level 2 (minimum)



Candidate must have the following key skills:



  • Bookkeeping

  • Experience using Xero ideal

  • Good understanding of Excel

  • Payroll

  • Willing to learn and being proactive within the role

  • Team Player
