  • Assist the finance department in the day-to-day operations of the purchase and sales ledgers.

  • Preparation of biweekly payment runs.

  • Month end account and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Assisting with incoming queries, by phone and email

  • Dealing with queries from staff at all levels of the organisation

  • Daily cashbook management

  • Entering data onto the database and maintaining information correctly

  • Drafting of journals

  • Resolving supplier and customer disputes

  • Regular review of processes to ensure they are up to date and best practice.

  • Filing and administration of finance department information

Is this you?

  • Some experience within finance or a similar role would be beneficial Ideally areas including purchase and sales ledger.

  • Ability to work to deadlines and time management.

  • Understanding of journal entries, debits and credits

  • Studying towards an accounting qualification would be desirable but not essential.

  • Proactive and detail orientated is a must.

  • Proficient IT skills including Excel.

  • Clear communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Attention to detail and number savvy

  • Team player
