Are you an experienced Accountant looking for an exciting new opportunity? Our client, a dynamic and growing organisation in the UK, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join their team. If you are ready to take on a diverse range of responsibilities and make a significant impact, then this role is for you!

As the Accountant, you will be responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping, ensuring accurate and timely financial records. You will also utilise your expertise in raising sales invoices within Moveman & Xero, managing credit control, and processing supplier payments. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in producing management accounts and maintaining a deep understanding of accruals and ledgers. Your ability to work independently to check job profitability will be essential in optimising financial performance.

Our client values technology-driven solutions, and as a computer-literate Accountant, your Xero experience will be a massive plus. You will also have the opportunity to manage insurance purchases and handle expenses through pleo. While not a necessity, experience in company secretarial duties would be a bonus.

In this role, you will handle payroll operations on a weekly and monthly basis and have an overall understanding of managing the finance function in an SME. Our ideal candidate is proactive, unafraid to challenge norms and costs, and can contribute to setting charge-out rates. As part of our client's team, you will have the opportunity to take on ad hoc duties as required, ensuring a varied and exciting work environment.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong background in bookkeeping and financial management

  • Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero

  • Familiarity with credit control and supplier payments

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently

  • The confidence to challenge traditional practises and identify cost-saving opportunities
