Accountant- Dartford

JOB TITLE: Accountant

LOCATION: Dartford

HOURS: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

SALARY: £38,000- £42,000 per annum

I am very excited to be working with an international business with an office in Dartford. You will be the sole finance employee in the office and will have complete autonomy over the entire finance function. Therefore, the right candidate will have excellent experience and be confident to self-manage and work independently. Full training and handover will be given to ensure you are confident to take over.

Skills and attributes necessary

• AAT/ ACCA/ CIMA qualification or qualified by experience


• Happy to work independently as the sole finance employee in the office


• Good knowledge of Oracle or quick to pick up finance systems


• A confident, problem solver who thrives on a challenge

Responsibilities

• Preparation and analysis of the monthly Management Accounts


• Posting all journals relating to cash, foreign currency gains/losses, accruals, and prepayments


• Completion of balance sheet reconciliations


• Preparation of budget information with key stakeholders


• Margin and overhead analysis


• Production of operational reporting and submission to management daily


• Liaising with the external auditors in carrying out the year-end audit, providing support for balance sheet accounts and answering all audit queries


• Daily reconciliations of multi-currency bank accounts


• Processing all sales orders, checking margins against transfer or other pricing, and ensuring all detail is accurately entered


• Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns
