Role: Purchase Ledger Assistant


Hours: Part-Time 9:00- 5:00 (25 - 30 hours)


Location: Farnham

Your day to day duties will be something like this:



  • Inputting expenses and checking submitted expenses from employees

  • Handling queries regarding expenses, policy's and payments

  • Checking claims are in line with company policy and do not conflict with other payments and highlight any anomalies or suspicious entries.

  • Checking: authorisation, calculations, receipts, mileage, coding to correct cost centres and calculating VAT to be reclaimed

  • Provide cover for the accounts payable team.

  • Prompt payment of occasional pro-forma invoices

  • Reconciliation of accounts related to expenses

  • Produce reports on expense spending and monitoring spending against budgets.

  • Prepare and collate monthly report for Payroll.

  • Assist with end of year HMRC reporting, relating to PSA and P11D.

  • Good communication skills with both finance and non-finance colleagues

  • Highly organised and work with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • A team worker, trustworthy to deal with confidential and sensitive information and confident using a range of IT systems.

  • Experience of paying expenses and familiarity with ledger accounting would be an advantage.
