Contract/Temporary - £27k - £30k equivalent + Benefits

Immediate Start

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Office Angels are seeking a Management Accountant, Qualified or Part Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA one of the largest work-based learning providers in England and Wales reporting in to the Senior Management Accountant.

The Role

To maintain all management accounts reporting and necessary financial controls, systems and processes to ensure the efficient and effective management of the organisations finances and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly financial reports to enable the measurement and balancing of commercial invoices, purchases and sales ledgers.

  • Produce accurate and timely budget reports to actively assist budget holders with the financial management of their operations

  • Maintain the Nominal Ledger, ensuring codes are in the right place, including the regional structure and creating new budget codes and ensure balances are correct

  • Maintain supporting schedules for Management Accounts including accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue

  • Document the technological development of new finance systems and processes

  • Ensure effective and robust financial controls and the required audit procedures are in place to assure compliance with prevailing legislation

  • Analyse payroll and pensions data as necessary

  • To liaise with the company auditors, ensuring all requested information is accurate and sent within the agreed timeframe

  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations

  • Deputise for the Senior Management Accountant when necessary.

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA

  • Proven direct responsibility for Management Accounts

  • Advanced MS Excel skills

  • Organised approach.


  • Working knowledge of Sage Line 50.

  • Experience of system implementation, migration and documentation

Hours of work and Benefits:
