Due to a continued period of growth our client has an urgent requirement for an experienced Finance Assistant to support the Finance team in the further development of the company.

The appointed person will be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a busy finance team and in using Sage 50 to carry out a broad range of finance and administration tasks.

Our client is located 8 miles from Hamilton City Centre and ideally you will need to have your own transport.

This is an exciting role which is integral to the running of the Accounts department - it is a full-time permanent role with parking available.


  • Providing accurate accounting

  • Process monthly stock adjustments

  • Maintain and monitor debt insurance policy

  • Compliance with all relevant accounting requirements

  • Produce financial reports

  • Oversee purchase and sales ledger

  • Credit control

  • Nominal ledger coding

  • Process month end journals

  • Bank reconciliations

  • Preparation of information for Audit

  • Dealing with customer and supplier queries

  • Providing administration support to the team

Key Skills:-

  • Accounts experience

  • SAGE 50

  • Ideally previous experience of working in a construction or manufacturing environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Process driven

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel

Hours of work are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 3pm on a Friday.
