Our client, a progressive landscaping company is looking for a keen Accounts Assistant to join their team. the accounts assistant's responsibilities will be split between handling purchase invoices and organising time sheets for the team. The right candidate will have experience in accounts admin, understand their way around processing invoices and have experience in general office admin. A background in working for a construction company would be beneficial but not vital. Experience in using Sage50 or any other accountancy software would be beneficial but not vital.

Position: Accounts Assistant

Hours: 08:30 - 17:00

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000

Team: The team is very social and friendly, they encourage team work and work in a social office and supportive environment

Report to: Accounts Manager and Commercial Director

  • To log all invoices/credits received by email and post, to Purchase Invoices Excel Spreadsheet.

  • Reconciling Purchase Invoice Statements with Purchase Invoice Spreadsheets.

  • Contacting Suppliers with any invoice/credit queries.

  • Passing all invoices/credits on for authorisation and coding.

  • Entering all invoices/credits on Sage Construct.

  • Reconciling balances due for payment with the relevant paperwork

  • Preparing all End of Month and 45 day payments.

  • Monitoring any invoices on hold and keeping a log of reasons for non-payment.

  • Preparation of remittance letters for all payments due to be made.

  • Ensuring all remittance letters are in the post on the correct day.

  • Keeping and maintaining a database of Suppliers email addresses.

  • Checking Applications for the correct Vat and Company Registration details.

  • Maintaining the filing to a high standard.

  • Archiving and scanning when appropriate.

  • Monthly reconciliation with Sage Aged Debtors report.

  • Preparing monthly Fuel spreadsheet

  • Preparing monthly Congestion Charge spreadsheet.

  • Weekly Timesheets (verification and preparation)

  • Reconciling Labour Agency invoices.
