We have had a fantastic opportunity arise to work within a professional, busy and successful manufacturing company based near to Brentwood. Our client is looking to recruit a Accounts Assistant to join and support their friendly and growing team.

Job Purpose:

Provides office services by implementing and monitoring administrative and accounting systems, procedures, policies and projects.


  • Creates, revises and maintains filing systems

  • Assist with the maintenance of the company contact database

  • Raising and posting invoices to the ledger

  • Reconciling supplier statements ready for payment

  • Dealing with supplier queries

  • Handle the company's credit control, issuing statements, chasing debts, ensuring all customers' accounts are settled within our terms

  • Matching suppliers' delivery notes to invoices

  • Handling and reconciling debit card & fuel card payments

  • Raise sales and purchase orders and delivery notes

  • Assist Finance Director as required

  • Answering phone as required


Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability

  • The ability to prioritise workload

  • The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

This position is to start immediately
Salary: £21k
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm, Fridays 7.30am to 2pm
