Account Manager

Our client is a rapidly expanding, dynamic, fast paced, and continuously evolving organisation.

Role summary

You'll be working in a team with an external rep ensuring both your accounts and their accounts receive an unbelievable and unforgettable level of service.

Your role will be to maintain and build our relationship with those clients. You'll process their orders, deal with their enquiries and generally offer them a superb level of customer service. You will also need to be able to upsell and identify new opportunities with them.

You will be processing orders that come in via email and over the phone, responding to queries, supplying quotes, purchase orders, delivery notes and delivering an exceptional level of customer service within tight timelines.

The majority of the role is carried out over the telephone and via email but an ability to be able to deal with clients face to face is also important.

Experience & skills

Experience in sales of tangible products in a business to business environment is a prerequisite. A friendly personality and ability to win clients over is also essential.

Specific technical knowledge is not required but a willingness to learn and understand client's needs is.

  • A high level of initiative and ability to work independently

  • Computer literate with a solid grasp of basic computer systems - Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel, CRM, etc

  • Demonstrated ability to sell

  • Natural problem solver with the ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Enjoy dealing with clients and customers over the phone

  • Passionate about customer service

  • Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong organisational skills

  • Possess an understanding profitability and costs

  • Ability to analyse and interpret data rapidly and effectively to provide customer insight

Experience in B2B sales, particularly in a builders merchants or construction suppliers would be a distinct advantage.
