FAQs

If you’ve got a burning question about how we can support your job search, look no further.

What types of roles do you recruit for?

We help candidates to find their dream office support jobs on a permanent, temporary and contract basis.

Do you offer home-based jobs?

No. For health and safety reasons, we don’t recruit for home-based roles. But good luck with your search. And if you’d like to discuss your other options, give us a call.

How do I register with you?

You need to apply for one of our exciting office jobs through our easy-to-use website. If you’re successful in getting through to the next stage, one of our qualified recruitment consultants will contact you within 5 working days.

I have applied for a job but I haven’t heard anything back

If you want to check the status of your application, feel free to drop us a line using the contact details on your confirmation email. Because we receive such a lot of applications for our office jobs, we can only contact the candidates that have been shortlisted for interview. If you haven’t heard from us, it’s likely that you’ve been unsuccessful this time.

What benefits do you offer to your temporary workers?

Travel Wings Plus - If you qualify for Travel Wings Plus, you will be able to claim back your travel and subsistence expenses, tax free.

Are there any additional benefits to being one of your candidates?

We regularly involve you in competitions, social events, theatre and film promotions, and referral schemes. It’s great fun being one of our candidates; if we didn’t already work here, we’d be jealous!

Do I need to pay to use your services?

No. We’re passionate about what we do and we’ll never charge you a penny for helping you to find your ideal office job, or to help you in the development of your skills.

Who pays me if I’m on a temp assignment?

We pay you every Friday in arrears by credit transfer to your nominated bank account, and you’ll receive your first wage two weeks after the start of your assignment. You’ll be paid an hourly rate which will of course vary from employer to employer, but it will never be less than the National Minimum Wage. Your pay will be based on how many hours you’ve worked, and rounded up or down to the nearest quarter of an hour. Tax and National Insurance deductions will be made automatically, so that’s one less thing to worry about.

What hours will I work on a temp assignment?

This will vary from assignment to assignment, but your hours will always be explained to you before you accept the job.

What holiday am I entitled to as a temporary worker?

You’re entitled to a maximum of 28 days paid annual leave in each complete holiday year. If you do want to take any paid holiday, please call your local Office Angels branch in advance so that we can check you have accrued enough days and book them for you. But you do need to give us at least one week’s notice so that we can plan alternative cover.

What if I can’t make my assignment?

You need to call your local Office Angels branch at least half an hour before you’re due to start work if you can’t attend, even if you’ve already informed the company you’re working for directly. You’re entitled to Statutory Sick Pay subject to qualification, but not company sick pay. If you need to be absent for any other reason, you need to speak to us about it first. If you’re not available to work for 4 weeks or more without our authorization, we’ll have to treat this as your resignation.
