The future of working: 2036

To mark our 25th anniversary in the office recruitment business (you don’t have to tell us, we really don’t look that old), we thought it would be informative, insightful, and downright fun to take a sneak peek into the future of the workplace, 25 years from now.

We spoke to lots of knowledgeable employers and loads of clued up candidates to hear their predictions for the future, combined this with our own understanding of the changing recruitment market and advances in working practices, and produced some really interesting discussion pieces around the shape of the workplace in 2036.

We’ll give you the lowdown on virtual workplaces, offer employers some really practical tips for keeping remote office workers engaged and motivated, and talk about the importance of maintaining communication skills in a future that’s set to be heavily reliant on technology.

We’ll also look at the freedom offered by flexible working, how this could spell the end of the traditional 9-5, and talk about the opportunities this opens up for a global recruitment market. And because we’re big on the work life balance, we’ll also look at how all of these changes could mean that you have to make a little more effort on the social side.

If you’d like to speak to us in a bit more detail about how you can plan for a changing workplace, get in touch today.
