Capital One’s principal subsidiaries are among the largest providers of MasterCard and Visa credit cards in the world. We have been supplying them with staff since 1998, and in 2000 we were offered a Master Services supplier contract and now supply all staff for assignments managing every part of their recruitment process.
We have a branded office in Capital One’s call centre, which essentially runs as an extension of their Human Resources department. We cover all aspects of client and candidate care from advertising, interviews and assessments to recruitment advice and payroll services. By having recruitment specialists onsite, the team at Capital One can focus on more strategic business.
This contract demands high volumes of assignment staff, often at short notice. To ensure we are able to meet the staffing requirements, we conduct regular open days allowing us to network with Line Managers and discuss their recruitment needs. We also put together a marketing plan for a ‘Talent Pool’ targeting candidates through extensive market research, career fairs, direct mail and online advertising.
Senior members of our staff are part of the strategic planning team at Capital One. They meet regularly to discuss future resource requirements and business trends. This information allows us to anticipate peak periods of recruitment and ensure that we have the resources to meet the demand.
